Yearbook Editor in Chief

“I’m a junior. I have been on the yearbook staff for two years now. I enjoy doing a little bit of everything, from taking photos, laying out yearbook pages, and creating content for our social media platforms. This year I’m taking on a new challenge by becoming the Editor in Chief. My main responsibility is making sure our staff works together efficiently and accordingly to produce the coverage we need each week, whether it’s in the yearbook, or in our most recent post. I enjoy this class because I love being involved in events happening around the school and I love creating things.”

My favorite parts of being on the staff are finding unique ways to cover school events and promoting our program on social media. Being part of this staff has given my creativity a boost, taught me how to be a better leader, and trained me to stay on top of my schedule.”

“Writing stories has always just come so naturally to me. If I had something going on in my life, I felt that writing a story about it made me understand myself better. It was as if putting my thoughts into words gave them a place to exist in the world. Being able to read the stories I have written, whether they’re on Facebook or the front page of the newspaper, it shows me I have accomplished something so big out of something I thought was so small. Our media program has made dreams I didn’t even know I had come true.”

Natalee Boutelle is a senior on the yearbook for her third year. Her goal is to continue to grow our social media following and creating content for SHS Media social media pages.

Junior Luke Baldwin is a photographer who has been on the media team, both as a photographer and broadcaster, for three years. He enjoys attending events, taking videos, photos and calling football games.

Junior Valerie Bravo is a photographer who is passionate about her craft. You can find her on the sidelines of almost every sport, not only as a photographer, but also as a reporter with our broadcasting team.

Cynthia Elliott is a junior at Salem High School. This is her third year on staff. She likes to take and edit photos, as well as videos for both news/digital media class and yearbook.
