Cynthia Elliott is a sophomore at Salem High School. This is her second year on staff. She likes to take and edit photos, as well as videos for both news/digital media class and yearbook.

Writing stories has always just come so naturally to me. If I had something going on in my life, I felt that writing a story about it made me understand myself better. It was as if putting my thoughts into words gave them a place to exist in the world. Being able to read the stories I have written, whether they’re on Facebook or the front page of the newspaper, it shows me I have accomplished something so big out of something I thought was so small. Our media program has made dreams I didn’t even know I had come true.

Natalee Boutelle

Natalee Boutelle is a junior. This is her first year in newspaper/digital media class, but she was on the yearbook staff for two years. Her goal is to become a better writer and continue creating content for SHS Media social media pages.

Valerie is a sophomore photographer who is passionate about photography. You can find her on the sidelines of almost every sport…but volleyball, because she is ON the court.

Abby Elliott

Abagale Elliott is a writer for newspaper and digital media class. She has wanted to be a writer since she can remember. She used to interview people on the playground using her chapstick as a microphone. In this class, she gets real experience and gets to have her voice heard!

Isabella is a junior and is in her second year as a member of the newspaper/digital media staff. She said she hopes to continue to get better at writing and also loves photography. She plans to use the skills she learns in this class in her future career.

Lillian Grissom

Lillian Grissom is a senior this year. This is her second year doing photography for the school. She has been interested in doing photography since she was little, and in a way she plans to use this skill in a future career. She wants to become a CSI (crime scene investigator) documenting and taking photos of crime scenes.
