Seniors crowned for homecoming

September’s Friday the 13th was anything but scary at Salem High School this year. That night, SHS crowned the Homecoming Queen and King for 2024: Senior Morgan Humphrey and Senior Hunter Trainor. Humphrey also was crowned Sweetheart. Junior Rafe Wells got Heartthrob, as well as First Runner Up, along with Sophomore Peyton Maynard.

The 2024 homecoming candidates were: freshmen Ethan Cooper, Alex Blake, Rachel Little and Kailedigh Shields. Sophomores Mason Abbot, Aiden Cole, Addison Howerton and Peton Maynard. Juniors Finn Kritzer, Rafe Wells, Brynan Bartron , and Emma Lloyd. Seniors Hunter Trainor, Braxton Backus, Abby Maynard and Morgan Humphrey

Following the game, the Lions had a homecoming dance hosted by SHS Student Council. They had a great turnout and more than 100 Salem students bought tickets. They hope to make this dance annual.
